Susan Boyle and Mariah Carey - X Factor Performances Preview Both Susan Boyle and Mariah Carey are pre-recording their performances for the upcoming X Factor show. Mariah, 39, recorded her performance the week before the live show on November 22 due to her having other commitments. It has now been claimed that Susan, 48, will also pre-record her performance the day before the show goes out. The Scottish singer is promoting her new album, which is out later this month, on US TV at the same time as the X Factor goes out live. Russian Roulette singer Rihanna and Alica Keys have been signed up to appear on the popular show on November 29. More music...Jedward will take the floor of The X Factor with Wham! aka George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley hit songs. The 1980s medley, which is expected to include I'm Your Man or Wham Rap!, was noted by The Daily Mail to have the potential to "disguise their off-key voices". Wham Rap!, the paper claimed, was the perfect track for John and Edward Grimes, who prefer rapping over singing. Leather-jacketed Wham! sent it to number 18 on the charts in 1983. George Michael is tipped to make a surprise appearance at the Saturday night show, while Mariah Carey and Susan Boyle will perform on Sunday night. Ratings should soar. Jedward this week drew controversy over an allegation it was rigged by muted sound that was ordered by the show's bosses and its own revelations of a bullying past at a boarding school in Ireland.

Mariah Carey Wanted Kittens For XmasMariah Carey request to have 20 white kittens at a Christmas lights switch-on has been blocked. The diva reportedly wanted the young felines and 100 white doves to accompany her at the extravagant switch-on ceremony at Westfield shopping centre, in west London. She also requested to be showered with butterfly-shaped confetti - her favourite insect - while standing on a pink podium and waving a magic wand. The American singer will arrive in a Rolls-Royce car and be accompanied by 80 security guards as well as her 15-strong entourage. But while most of her demands have been met, health and safety officials refused her request to have kittens and doves - because animals are not allowed inside the complex. A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "We did manage to source the doves that we were going to release into the sky, but the kittens proved terribly difficult. "In the end, it was made clear that due to health and safety, there was no way we could have the animals at Westfield. Pets are not allowed in Westfield - that rule would apply for everyone. "We have worked extremely hard to make sure that Mariah's event is fantastic. Even the model of car had to be changed six times to one that her people liked." The 'Hero' singer, who is appearing on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' this weekend, recently admitted she loves being a diva - but doesn't think she is demanding enough.
